Garden drip irrigation installation process
Although costlier than common sprinkler system, the drip irrigation system is the most efficient system because is uses less water and delivers it close to the roots of the plants.
First you have to draw the plan of your garden on a graph paper to determine the length of irrigation line you need. Also, depending on the terrain of the garden, you can use different types of irrigation lines.rclma Next, you must attach a vacuum breaker to the system. It will prevent water from going back into the main water supply system.
Connect the drip tubing to a garden hose and unroll it, laying it around the base of the plants. Make sure the tubing is close enough and sprays directly at the base of the plant. For rows of plants, the tubing should be placed each 12 inches across. Secure the hose using stakes.
Use a knife yo cut the drip tubing and insert T connectors into the holes. These connectors are used if you want to branch the system so it can cover a larger area. Turn the water on to flush the system. Fold the tubing end and slide a tube clamp to seal it. Turn the water on and check if everything is running properly.
