Decorate a nursery

Installing a teething rail on your baby’s crib is a necessary thing to do because your little bundle of energy may bite the crib thus making it an unsafe place to stay and sleep. Also, your baby may hurt himself while grabbing the mobile, pulling on the crib bumpers or chewing the rails. Teething rails are available in various colors and designs and are very easy to install.

Get the crib ready

Remove all the things in the crib including bedding, mattresses and toys. Clean the crib very well with a piece of fabric, lukewarm and alcohol. It is recommended to repeat this action every month in order to protect the health of your baby.

Get the teething rail ready

If you see that your baby starts teething it’s high time for you to install a teething rail. This will protect your baby from both hurting himself and damage the crib.

 Install the teething rail

Read the instructions that came with the teething rail.

If you have chosen a cloth teething rail all you have to do is to tie the cloth ribbons to the crib’s railing. Usually, cloth teething rails are suitable for any crib type because they have standard dimensions. On the other hand, gummy rubber and soft plastic teething rails can be attached to the crib’s railing using double-sided tape.

Both gummy rubber and soft plastic teething rails are not toxic, thus protecting your baby’s health.

 Arrange the crib

Put back the bedding and the pillows and make sure you low down the mattress as your baby gets taller. This will stop your baby to get out of the crib. Check the mattress periodically to make sure it’s not becoming loose. Do not place the crib near the windows or any piece of furniture.
