Aluminum windows have solid aluminum frames. These frames hold the glass mounted on them. Unlike windows with wooden frames, these ones have the corners welded together, making them tougher and more stable.

Aluminum windows were once a common alternative to wood windows, because their aluminum frame made them more resistant to damage, thus increasing their popularity. Even so, people still use wooden or vinyl windows more than aluminum ones because they offer much better insulation. These days aluminum windows aren’t a cost efficient option for replacing existing windows, because of the rise of energy costs.
