Flowers come in a variety of colors and shapes that ca make any garden look absolutely fantastic. Every gardener tries to grow as many flowers as possible in order to create a small paradise in their yard. Although many people know many flower types, there are also flowers that grow only in certain regions of the world.

Rare and tropical flowers are the most beautiful. They please the eye with their bright and different colors and with their petal arrangements. Let us talk about some of them.

Amorphophallus Titanum (Titan Arum) is the biggest flower on Earth and thrives in Sumatra islands. The main characteristic of Titan Arum is its amazing inflorescence, which can grow to about three meters from the ground. This plant is also called “corpse flower” because of its rotting flesh smell.

Blue bell tunicate is characterized by curled petals that present intricate designs. This flower can be colored in orange, purple, pink, etc. The bud and the bloom look like a daisy. The man difference is that the blue bell tunicate presents curled petals when it is in full bloom.

Desert rose thrives in the deserts of Arabia and Africa, standing very well drought and very hot temperatures. Botanically called Adenium obesum, desert rose present bright-colored and succulent flowers that bloom in early summer or late spring.

Pineapple Lily (Eucomis) is another exotic and rare flower that looks like a pineapple. The blooms are cylindrical  and come in many different bright colors. They also have a pleasant fragrance.

Rafflesia Arnoldii is another rare flower that rives in the rainforests of Indonesia and Sumatra Islands. It is the biggest flower on Earth and has a strong and unpleasant smell. Its petals are heavy and big and look like meat. This is why rafflesia is also called the “meat flower”.

Cotton candy flamingo is tropical species that grows in a cluster forming one single flower having a circular shape. This flower looks like a cotton candy on a stick and comes in a unique combination of colors. The bottom of the cotton candy flamingo is cream, the center is pink and the flowers are coral.
