Pre-emergent herbicide
Before using any herbicide to kill the weeds on your lawn or garden, you should take in consideration some things.
Pre-Emergent or Post-emergent?
It is important that you know which type to use and when to use it. Pre-emergent herbicide is used in the spring growing season.
Conditions of weather
Wind or even a small breeze can carry the herbicide away from the targeted weed and affect plants that you didn’t want killed. This is available even if you are using a selective herbicide. Also, if there’s a high chance of rain, call the spraying off for later, as water can make the solution less effective.
Herbicides are great for getting rid of weeds, but are dangerous not just for other plants, but for children and pets too, so you must use it at your own risk.
