Chimney liner type
If your chimney liner is damaged, this could lead to dangerous carbon monoxide and smoke accumulation in your home. To fix this issue, you must install a new liner.
Chimney cleaning
To see any debris or dirt that might be in the chimney use a probe.
Liner choosing
One of the most common type of liner is the stainless steel liner, which is flexible and fairly cheap.
Liner installation
Using a winch attached to the liner, gently lower the liner down the chimney. Be careful not to damage it or else you will probably need to repeat the process with a different liner. Don’t forget to secure the plates at the bottom of the liner so that it will remain in its proper place.
Chimney insulation
For insulating matters, use a mixture of vermiculite and cement. The mixture must be poured between the liner and bricks and will assure insulation and a faster heat buildup in the fireplace.
