Irrigation system

A proper irrigation method will assure the required water for a plant bed to thrive and grow healthy. You can make your own basic irrigation system, using modern materials.

Start off by hammering stakes into the ground, that represent the position of the corners of each seed bed.

Make a square or a rectangular tying nylon cording around the stakes.Next, measure the width of each seed bed. Read the seed packet and see what spacing do the seeds require. It can be anywhere from 6 to 36 inches.

You must plant the seeds as informed on the packet and then, using a stick, mark lines between the seed rows. Dig trenches on those lines about 1 inch deep and 2 inch wide. Put a hose, in the canals, which must have holes that let’s water seep out and drip. Use some light stones to keep the hose in place if needed.

Connect the hose to an outdoor spigot and turn the water on to see if the system is working properly. The water must flow into the ditches you’ve dug. Adjust the hose position if needed. Water the seeds the proper amount, depending on their needs.
