Kill termites

Concrete slabs are a common target of invasion, especially by termites. They usually use cracks as entry points and they can also use pope routing and electrical wiring. To keep the termites away from your home you need to dig a trench around the exterior areas of the concrete slab foundation.

Instructions

  1. First of all you will need to remove all obstructions from the exterior perimeter of the concrete slab, like plants, hoses, barbecue grills, etc.
  2. Also clear the area from any fallen leaves, or debris. Also remove rocks and pebbles.
  3. Soak the perimeter of the concrete slab, outward. This way you will be able to dig the trench much easier.
  4. Take a shovel, a pick or hoe and start digging the trench. It needs to be 4 to 6 inches deep, and around the entire perimeter.
  5. Now take the termiticide and dilute it, following the instructions of the manufacturer. Apply the solution to the trench. Now put the dirt back into the trench.
  6. Let the solution to take action for 24 hours and then you can replace the pebbles, rocks or other objects that you have removed previously.

Tips:

  • it’s not enough to dig the trench as a way to protect your home from termites. You will need to apply the termiticide solution to the trench.
