Weed killer
After removing the weeds from your garden, thus keeping it healthy and looking good, the job is halfway done. Weeds tend to grow back if not disposed properly, so make sure you do the job completely to avoid unwanted surprises.
Trash the weeds
The easiest way of getting rid of weeds is tossing them at the bin or the organic waste disposal bin.
To avoid this from happening, rake up all the weeds and put them into a plastic bag, then seal the bag tight. Leave the bag into the sun for roughly a month, after which you can dispose of it with no fear of the weeds scattering seeds because, the sun will dry the plants too much and leave them unable to grow.
Turn them into compost
Weeds are organic waste, so they can be used when making composts. Be careful if you plan on doing so, as weeds can live in the compost as well, spreading seeds and growing again in your garden. Correct composting is the solution. Using a compost thermometer, make sure the compost has at least 100 degrees F. Weeds will not survive higher temperatures. be sure to wait 1 or 2 months before using the compost with weeds in it for your garden.
Bonfire the weeds
The worst solution, but certainly the fastest of all is burning the weeds. The area you plan on making the fire in must be far from buildings and flammable materials. Always have a bucket of water on hand. The fire mustn’t be large. Keep it small and under control and avoid using flammable materials to start it in the first place. When the job is done, pour water on the embers or stomp on them to make sure they won’t continue burning.
