Chimney ventilation
A chimney draft is very important for a house, to ensure it will be well heated but also properly ventilated. The draft is caused by the difference between warm air and other flue gases.
Eliminating flue gases
The draft makes sure that the toxic gases, eliminated when logs or any other fuel is burnt, don’t remain in the chimney and fireplace, but are carried away by air currents and taken outside.
Warm air circulation
The lack of a draft will lower the warmth in the room. A chimney draft helps hot air move up and out of the chimney and lets cold air enter the chimney thus maintaining a good ventilation system and making sure that you don’t lose any heat.
