Garden irrigation
Whether it consists of simple manual watering or more complex irrigation systems, watering a garden is a very important process that helps maintain the health of the plants.
Drip irrigation system
The drip irrigation system is the most efficient of all systems, having an efficiency percentage above 90%. It consists of multiple pipes that transport water at low pressure directly to the roots of the plants.
Manual irrigation
Manual irrigation is an effective method for a small area of plants. Watering in the morning is ideal because any excess water will evaporate during the day, preventing diseases. The plants should be watered so that 1 foot of soil around it is moist. You can use a metal rod to see how deep has the water infiltrated. Manual watering can be done using a hose or a watering pail.
Irrigation
The garden watering process must be repeated respecting a strict schedule in order to offer the plants all they need. Especially in warm summer days, when you will need to irrigate them more often to supply them with all they need. Manual watering has the advantage that it can be canceled if rain occurs or if moisture levels are high, whether in the case of automatic irrigation, the system will water the plants, regardless if it has rain or not.
