Indoor sauna building factors
You must take into consideration a series of factors in order to determine if you should install an indoor sauna, or and outdoor one.
Factors
Both types of saunas require a water supply. The water is used to create steam and to cool after the sauna session.
Indoor sauna facts
An indoor sauna has an upper hand when it comes to water supplying than an outdoor one. Installing the drainage system and piping system shouldn’t be an issue. Constructing the sauna on a corner means the sauna will already have 2 resistant walls. Sauna foundation is rarely necessary. An indoor sauna is safe from any weather issues.
Outdoor sauna facts
An outdoor sauna is a good way of enjoying the outdoor scenery while relaxing. The sauna design isn’t limited by space so you can build the way you want it to be. An outdoor sauna can double as a guestroom or a playroom for kids. If attached to the house, the sauna will increase the overall value of the property significantly. Also, venting is much easier to assure outdoors. An outdoor sauna requires a foundation and a more labor intensive construction process. Also, providing a drainage system, a power and a water supply will not be as easy as for an indoor sauna.
